Abstract: Reclamation modelers in the Pacific Northwest have typically used MODSIM to model river systems that require distribution based on water rights. Limitations in MODSIM make it difficult to simulate daily flows, which have become necessary for many studies. Therefore, many of the Reclamation MODSIM models are being re-developed in RiverWare. The model of the Boise River System is the first RiverWare model developed in the Pacific Northwest Region to be developed using the accounting module and this presentation will briefly describe the development to date.
