SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN RIVERWARE PATCH RELEASE 9.7.4
Released October 7, 2026
Bugs

The following RiverWare issues were addressed:
7362: On the workspace, the Lock Icon Positions button now has a better tool tip. Also, better information on this setting was added to the Settings Manager.
7363: Opening older model files could fail due to deprecated items present in the model. Now, the opening process will skip deprecated items and post a warning message.
7367: Running with Aggregate Series Slot windows open led to a slowdown and/or RiverWare freezing.
7369: The Save Set menu item for an Initialization Rules Set did not work.
7371: The Export Set menu item did not work for the following RPL sets: Object Level Accounting Methods, Expression Slot Functions, and Iterative MRM Rules.
7372: The TableLookup and TableLookupDefaultTol RPL functions returned an incorrect value for a look-up value within the tolerance of the final row of the look-up table when using the round down option.

USGS Web Service DMI Updates

The USGS updated the Water Data for the Nation (WDFN) web service API from version 0 (V0) to version 1 (V1). Although V0 requests currently redirect to V1, the V0 API is scheduled to be deprecated in early 2027. In preparation, the RiverWare USGS Daily Values Web Service Dataset was updated to use the V1 API directly.

In addition, diagnostics were added for site map interactions with the web service. Equivalent diagnostics already existed for data requests. Adding these diagnostics for site maps provides additional information for diagnosing web service issues.

Finally, the sample JSON files were updated for both data and site map responses to reflect the V1 API.
