Abstract: Hydros Consulting developed an hourly RiverWare model of the Lower Colorado river for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The model is used by river schedulers to estimate the hourly flow arriving at Imperial Dam. The model recommends operations of Imperial Dam, Senator Wash Reservoir, and Brock Reservoir to mitigate differences between the flow arriving and the master schedule orders for the All American Canal and Gila Gravity Main Canal. The river schedulers also use the model to determine orders from Parker Dam for the current and next two days.
