Abstract: For several years, reservoir planning for Libby Dam and Lake Koocanusa has been handled using Excel spreadsheets. The Seattle District of the Army Corps has begun developing a Riverware model to replace those spreadsheets. It will be used both for long term planning studies and eventually for daily operations. The current state of the model will be presented, including the approach used to overcome some unique regulatory requirements.
