Mueller This presentation will present an overview of how TVA uses optimization in its 6-hour and hourly RiverWare models to most efficiently use the Tennessee River System to meet our flood damage reduction, navigation, power supply, recreation, water quality, and water supply objectives. The TVA optimization discussion will also provide a brief overview how TVA uses hydropower value, the future value of water, load forecast, unit availablility, operating policy and hydrologic inflows within optimization.
