ABSTRACT
A RiverWare model of the Rio Grande Project was developed for the State of New Mexico and coupled with two MODFLOW groundwater models. The three models are simulated independently, passing data between the MODFLOW models and the RiverWare model until the three-model solution converges. The RiverWare Model simulates the Lower Rio Grande basin from Elephant Butte Reservoir to Fort Quitman, Texas. S.S. Papadopulos & Associates developed the MODFLOW model of the Rincon-Mesilla basin while McDonald Morrissey Associates developed the MODFLOW model of the Hueco-Bolson basin.
