Efforts in SWT have begun to build out the Upper Red POR model, which will complete the districts POR modeling coverage. POR model output data is used to create unregulated and regulated datasets to support studies ranging from dam safety, planning, H&H, etc.. Tasks in this effort include: creating calculated historic hydrology for reservoir inflows and outflows for time periods prior to impoundment, and gage flows for time periods prior gage installation; building out the model (locals, regulated, and unregulated) using approved SWD methods and rules; and finally combining the new Upper Red POR model with the existing Lower Red POR model. |
