All instructions were developed using RiverWare 9.1.2 Therefore, you should download and install RiverWare 9.1.2 from RiverWare.org. Of course, you will need a RiverWare license. If you do not have one see the licensing page (https://riverware.org/riverware/LicensingRW/index.html) |
2. |
Obtain and install CWMS or RTS v3.3.0 from HEC (https://www.hec.usace.army.mil/software/default.aspx) |
3. |
Download CWMSRiverWareTraining.zip (https://riverware.org/tutorials/CWMS_RTS/CWMSRiverWareTraining.zip) |
4. |
The zip file contains the folder \CWMSRiverWareTraining. Unzip the folder to your computer. We prefer that the unzipped folder be located at
C:\CWMSRiverWareTraining.
If you do not have a zip utility, we recommend the free program 7-zip (www.7zip.org). |
5. |
Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to C:\CWMSRiverWareTraining. |
6. |
Double click on the following bat script to set environment variables: C:\CWMSRiverWareTraining \setRWTrainingEnvVars.bat |
|
Make sure a black command prompt window opens and says:
"SUCCESS: Specified value was saved.
Press any key to continue" |
|
If you cannot run the bat script or get an error message, the environment variable was not set. There are different procedures based on your operating system to set environment variables. We suggest googling "Set Environment Variable Windows" (without the quotes) for your version of windows. Follow the procedure and create the environment variable GUAD_CWMS and set it to the value C:\CWMSRiverWareTraining. |
