ABSTRACT
Given the increasing demand for high quality hourly model results for the Federal Columbia River Power System, Bonneville Power Administration has spent the last few years upgrading its modeling system to use RiverWare. BPA utilizes both the Rule Based Simulator and the Optimizer in combination to create forecasts for river operations for the next 2-3 weeks. This presentation will cover some of the benefits realized with the use of RiverWare.
