Types of Analysis
The Data Analysis Tool can be used for two general types of analysis:
• Ensemble Data Set Analysis: In this approach, import RDF data, such as trace data created in an MRM, to create an Ensemble Data Set. Then perform various types of statistical analyses across traces including per-timestep statistics or regressions of scalar trace data. This was the original use of the Data Analysis Tool. See Ensemble Data Set Analysis for more information on this type of analysis.
• Slot Analysis: In this approach, you select slots in the model to analyze. Currently you can perform multiple linear regression for series slot data. See Slot Analysis for more information on this type of analysis.
We next describe these two types of analysis and then discuss visualization and common operations.
