Hydros and the New Mexico Interstate Streams Commission have developed a RiverWare model of the San Juan and Animas River Basins in New Mexico. The model is being used by the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer and Interstate Stream Commission to evaluate potential water rights administration under the State’s Active Water Rights Management program, as well as for long-term planning studies related to Tribal water development, Animas La Plata Project deliveries, municipal demand growth, and environmental flows required under the San Juan Endangered Fish Recovery Program. The model utilizes either historical or paleo-conditioned hydrology data, and includes a robust PowerBI output utility for parsing model results. |
